After the paste
Once the build is in, a few commands make it permanent and clean up anything the paste left behind. Run them straight away, while the area you pasted is still selected from the -s flag.
Check it over
Fly around the whole build before you do anything else. If it's in the wrong place or facing the wrong way, undo the paste and try again:
//undoMake the leaves permanent
Leaves placed by a player never decay. Leaves in a schematic keep whatever state they were saved with, and in most builds that means they can decay. Mark every leaf in the pasted area as permanent:
//replace ##leaves ^[persistent=true]##leavesmatches every type of leaves, including azalea, cherry and mangrove.^[persistent=true]changes only that one property. Each leaf keeps its type and its other states.
After this, the build's leaves survive even with random ticks turned back on. In a survival world you can now set random_tick_speed back to 3. See Prepare the world.
If your plugin version rejects that command, run one line for each type of leaves in the build:
//replace oak_leaves oak_leaves[persistent=true]
//replace spruce_leaves spruce_leaves[persistent=true]Fix dark patches
FAWE relights the area after a paste, but large pastes can still leave black shadows or rooms that are darker than they should be. With the build still selected, run:
//fixlighting//fixlighting is a FAWE command. On plain WorldEdit, leave the server and rejoin, which usually clears it.
If you pasted with -b and the grass or leaf colours haven't changed, rejoin as well. Biome colours update when your game reloads the chunks.
Finish up
- Set the spawn point. Stand where players should arrive and run
/setworldspawn, or set the location in your spawn plugin. - Clear your clipboard with
/clearclipboard, so a stray//pastecan't drop a second copy of the build. - Decide on random ticks. Leave them at
0in a lobby, or turn them back on in a survival world now that the leaves are permanent. - Take a fresh backup of the finished world.
